Stephen J Parker

Having spent most of his working life as a graphic designer, Steve Parker now concentrates on his love of photography. In his early years, Steve had a natural talent for art and design and found himself working alongside architects, town planners and urban designers, producing graphics and technical literature for major urban and rural development projects both in the UK and overseas. This experience was the foundation for a 40-year career in graphic design and print production.

Steve now focuses on expressing his art through the lens of a camera. Mostly using the built environment as his canvas, his images are notable for their strong use of colour, form and texture. Steve explores urban spaces, seeking out unique viewpoints or mundane detail and he has an appetite for the unconventional which often features in, and creates an abstract quality to, his work.
